Our second year participating in this very well organised and enjoyable walk. It's so nice to be out amongst other dog lovers sharing this event.
Last year we did the 10km walk. This year the organisers introduced a 15km distance which is perfect for both us and Luna. There are multiple distances for all types - from 2.4km kids run to the full 42.2km marathon. Hats off to those who complete the longer distances - you are inspirational.
Christchurch was in fine form. Calm and sunny, not too warm - perfect weather to get out and moving. The forest (mostly pine) provides plenty of shade and is nice and sheltered.
Luna loved the event and was in typical form - and immediate burst of excited energy, then healing well for most of the distance. All the dogs there were well behaved and under good control - no issues.
We'll be back next year for sure!
