A really nice walk from the Glenorchy Wharf through the lagoon and back.
Stunning views where the Rees river meets lake Wakatipu, leading over to the Glenorchy Lagoon walkway. There are two loops around and through the lagoon. Today we did the southern loop as we were a little tight for time. The northern loop adds about 30-45 minutes to the walk - well worth it I reckon.
The path is well formed and wide, and the boardwalk through the lagoon is very pleasant. There are stunning views across the lagoon to the mountains, and plenty of birds on the water (Luna did well not to jump in!).
This is a Department of Conservation walk -

A very relaxing walk - well worth the trip to Glenorchy. We'll be back.
